EEON Iftar Dinner 2023
On a rainy Melbourne evening, the Equal Employment Opportunity Network (EEON) in partnership with Australian Intercultural Society (AIS) hosted its annual Iftar dinner at Leyalina restaurant on Lygon Street. The event brought together 30 guests, with diversity and inclusion practitioners from a variety of Victorian organisations, for a relaxed and casual evening of breaking the fast.
This year marks the fourth year that the EEON has held this event, which has become a beloved tradition amongst attendees. As guests arrived, they were greeted with warm smiles and the fragrant aromas of traditional Egyptian cuisine. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as there were new faces who such an event.
As everyone settled in, the conversation flowed freely and effortlessly. Guests shared stories of their experiences in the workplace, their passion for diversity and inclusion, and their hopes for the future. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and the importance of coming together to break down barriers and promote understanding. Here’s too many more years of this cherished tradition!
