The Australian Intercultural Society organised a luncheon for about 60 guests including students from Sirius College on 18 November 2015; featuring Editor- in-chief of The Age. Andrew Holden who gave a brilliant address on ‘The power; and confusion; of language: How a professional wordsmith adapts and appreciates the real power words have in our community’
Welcoming remarks and introduction were given by facilitator Jennifer Martin; lecturer at University of Melbourne’s Centre for Advancing Journalism and Editorial Assistant at The Citizen
The event concluded with a Q&A session with members of the audience and the presentation of gifts of thanks.
